Inspired by a memorial skylight created by Aurora Colors for a Petaluma business. While other creatures in the skylight are symbolic of many that were lost in a tragic fire, this regal bird was a pet that was kidnapped from their business and died. The owners of the skylight requested that he be included in the memorial of their loss. Here he is solo, patiently waiting for his new owner. Stained glass and hand cut copper leaves. Facial details were hand painted and kiln fired. A bell shaped Swarovski crystal captures rays of sunshine above him, 50mm prism. (Hard to see prism in images but it is there.) One of a kind. Ready to hang.
