Historical Presentation on "The Eggery"Free historical presentation on a Petaluma egg ranch, turned cafe-gallery-music and belly dancing. 1949-1981.In celebration of Petaluma's 150th anniversary, please join Aurora Colors Gallery for a free presentation by Marv Dolowitz on June 21 from 2-3pm. He traveled to Petaluma from New York City with his bride, Shirley, on their honeymoon in 1949, with the intention of becoming an art director in S.F. Instead, he went into a partnership on an egg ranch that he eventually developed into "The Eggery" - a retail farm store, cafe and art gallery, that showcased belly dancing festivals and local musicians, including Kate Wolf and Scott Gerber. Exhibit of memorabilia from May 30-July 6, 2008. Learn how Marv, Shirley and their four children survived the end of an era. Marv was certainly an innovator ahead of his time! Reservations are recommended, seating is limited.
