services we offer
A Message from Founder, Vangie Pullins ~
My passion for stained glass and my desire for a career change inspired me to offer you Aurora Colors. It began in 1996 with half of a garage, a phone book listing, and a dream to be a self-employed glass artist.
I brought computer skills and public relation skills to Aurora Colors. A door was opened when Lyndon joined Aurora Colors. He brought electrical and building construction related skills. Combining these 'previous life' abilities with our stained glass skills enabled us to develop all of the Services we have been providing to Sonoma County and surrounding counties since 2004, when we opened our first retail location. We have never had employees. Many customers are unaware of me or that I am only a few feet away, just out of sight. Lyndon and I are a team and our business operations are shared, though it has always been a woman owned, sole proprietorship.
Aurora Colors' growth has demanded incredible attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture. It has necessitated that we seize opportunities and find workable solutions to many challenges. We can do the same for You.
If you are interested in learning what Aurora Colors can do for you, please visit or call us at (707) 824-1600. Please feel free to ask for me. I'd love to meet you, too.
Vangie and Lyndon Pullins
are Glass Art Consultants, Instructors, Glass Art Artists and own and operate a public studio and stained glass supply store in Sebastopol, California.
Aurora Colors has been Sonoma County's only full service stained glass store since 2004, open Monday through Friday. They do not have employees and do all work themselves. Many works they make together and many are designed and made solely by one or the other.
Founded in 1996, their many years of experience provides you with a wide spectrum of stained glass techniques employed for commissions and one of a kind gift items. Skills and techniques include:
painting and silver staining
leaded or foiled stained glass
Custom molds are made in their studio for glass cabinets and lamp shades (bending glass.)
Instruction in stained glass and fusing stained glass is available but limited. For many years both Vangie and Lyndon taught hundreds of students from 5 years old and up, primarily in their own studio, and also gave instruction through the Santa Rosa Junior College, the Petaluma Community Center, and the Rohnert Park Community Center, as well as on site at various private K-12 schools.
